The geopolitical landscape of the 21st century presents numerous challenges and opportunities for alliances that uphold shared values and interests. From a conservative standpoint, the United States and Russia should foster a stronger alliance, recognizing their commonalities as predominantly white, Christian, and capitalist nations. This partnership is essential for countering globalist threats, preserving Western civilization, and ensuring geopolitical stability in an increasingly multipolar world.
Shared Heritage and Cultural Foundations
Both the United States and Russia are deeply rooted in European Christian traditions, shaping their moral values, social institutions, and political ideologies. While the United States is predominantly Protestant and Catholic, and Russia is largely Eastern Orthodox, both nations share a commitment to Christianity as the foundation of their societies. Christianity has played a crucial role in forming ethical standards, family structures, and civic responsibilities in both countries, providing a natural basis for mutual respect and collaboration.
Furthermore, both nations have historically identified as bastions of Western civilization, despite Russia’s geographical position straddling both Europe and Asia. Russian literature, philosophy, and religious traditions have long contributed to the European intellectual and cultural heritage, just as America has preserved and advanced the ideals of the European Enlightenment.
Economic and Capitalist Interests
Despite political differences, Russia and the United States operate within capitalist frameworks that emphasize private enterprise, industrial innovation, and resource exploitation. While Russia maintains certain state-controlled industries, its economic structure is largely driven by market forces and energy exports, making it a significant player in global commerce. The United States, as the world’s leading capitalist nation, stands to benefit from economic collaboration with Russia, particularly in energy, technology, and trade.
A strong U.S.-Russia alliance could promote energy independence from hostile globalist powers and ensure that Western nations do not fall prey to economic dependency on China or Middle Eastern oil-rich autocracies. Cooperation in sectors such as aerospace, defense technology, and agricultural trade would further reinforce mutual economic interests.
Countering Globalist and Marxist Threats
Both nations face existential threats from globalist elites who seek to undermine national sovereignty, dilute Christian values, and impose a socialist world order. Institutions like the European Union, the World Economic Forum (WEF), and transnational NGOs push for open borders, cultural Marxism, and the erosion of national identity. The United States and Russia, both deeply nationalist in their political outlooks, must work together to resist these globalist pressures and defend their cultural and political autonomy.
Additionally, leftist ideologies, including critical race theory (CRT), gender radicalism, and anti-Christian secularism, threaten traditional social structures in both countries. Russia has explicitly resisted the imposition of radical leftist policies, banning LGBTQ+ propaganda and upholding traditional Christian values in law and governance. The United States, currently struggling with cultural and political divisions, could benefit from aligning with Russia to reaffirm its own conservative Christian heritage and push back against radical leftist agendas.
Military and Strategic Considerations
A strong U.S.-Russia alliance would significantly enhance global security and deter aggression from adversarial nations such as China and radical Islamist groups. While the United States and Russia have had historical tensions dating back to the Cold War, the modern geopolitical landscape necessitates pragmatic cooperation rather than hostility.
China, with its expansionist ambitions and authoritarian communist regime, poses a direct threat to both American and Russian sovereignty. Beijing’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) seeks to economically dominate Eurasia, while its military build-up in the South China Sea threatens global trade routes. A U.S.-Russia partnership could effectively contain Chinese imperialism and ensure a balance of power that favors Western civilization.
Additionally, the threat of radical Islamism, particularly from Middle Eastern and Central Asian extremist factions, necessitates a joint American-Russian counterterrorism strategy. Russia has decades of experience dealing with Islamist insurgencies in the Caucasus, while the U.S. has fought Islamist extremism in the Middle East. A coordinated effort could enhance global security and prevent further destabilization of key regions.
Conclusion: A Call for a Pragmatic Alliance
The notion that the United States and Russia must remain adversaries is outdated and counterproductive. As two great nations with shared racial, religious, and economic interests, both countries should recognize the strategic benefits of an alliance. By working together to counter globalist Marxism, defend Christian civilization, and promote economic prosperity, the United States and Russia can shape a future that upholds sovereignty, tradition, and national strength.
A U.S.-Russia alliance is not just a matter of geopolitical convenience but a necessary step in ensuring the survival and dominance of Western values in the modern world.
