How Police and Law Enforcement Would Suffer Under a Communist-Islamist Regime Like That of Kamala Harris

As an Iranian-American, ex-Muslim, and Christian conservative, I have witnessed firsthand the disastrous impacts that authoritarian regimes can have on society, especially on law enforcement and public safety. Growing up in a nation where Islamic and communist ideologies influenced policy and governance, I understand the strain such ideologies place on police forces, ultimately reducing their effectiveness, autonomy, and authority to enforce law and order. In a hypothetical scenario where Kamala Harris—or any similarly left-leaning figure in the U.S.—ushers in policies inspired by a hybrid of communist and Islamist frameworks, American police and law enforcement agencies would face unprecedented challenges.

1. Ideological Control Over Law Enforcement

In nations under communist or Islamist influence, law enforcement is restructured to serve the ideology rather than uphold justice. The result? Police forces become an arm of political repression, tasked more with protecting the regime than with serving the public. For example, in Iran, police prioritize enforcing Islamic morals, often under severe punishment, rather than protecting individual rights or property. In a Harris-style regime that blends leftist and Islamist ideals, we could see law enforcement used selectively, more focused on policing “thought crimes” and silencing dissent than on combatting real crime.

Under such a system, police officers would be forced to comply with policies that contradict their training and ethical standards. Harris’s alignment with far-left figures and soft-on-crime policies could mean that police would be instructed to overlook certain crimes in favor of punishing “politically incorrect” behaviors. This undermines law enforcement as an institution built on the impartial application of law, and it instead repositions them as tools of social engineering.

2. Defunding and Demoralization of Police Forces

The leftist movement to defund the police, championed by Harris and her allies, would directly weaken law enforcement’s ability to uphold law and order. Defunding results in lower recruitment, fewer resources, and reduced training opportunities, leading to a less competent police force. Under a communist-Islamist regime, these policies might be further justified by framing police forces as symbols of “oppression” that need to be dismantled.

Consider how defunding and marginalizing police forces in the U.S. would create vulnerabilities. Reduced police presence would lead to increased crime and public unrest, as seen in several major U.S. cities. Meanwhile, extremist groups would gain the freedom to operate with less oversight, further destabilizing communities. This is a common theme in countries where law enforcement has been subverted by authoritarian regimes that claim to support “social justice” but instead facilitate lawlessness.

3. Sharia and Woke Policies in Policing

In Iran, police are forced to uphold Sharia laws, dictating behavior according to strict Islamic codes that suppress women, non-Muslims, and dissenting voices. A regime combining elements of Islamism with woke ideology would likely introduce similar restrictions—targeting not only conservative Christians but anyone who resists progressive or Islamist policies. Kamala Harris’s affinity for political correctness, coupled with her support for far-left activism, could create an environment where police are compelled to enforce “woke” policies that align with Islamic sensibilities under the guise of tolerance and inclusivity.

In practice, this would mean that law enforcement would prioritize investigating supposed “hate crimes” or “Islamophobia” over real criminal activity. Officers who refuse to comply would likely face professional repercussions, further demoralizing the force. This repressive approach is already visible in Western countries that embrace leftist policies, where police focus more on social justice issues than on traditional crime prevention.

4. Expansion of Surveillance on Police and Public

Communist and Islamist regimes are notorious for their heavy reliance on surveillance to control citizens and prevent dissent. Under a Harris-led communist-Islamist government, we could see the rapid expansion of government surveillance on both police officers and the public. To prevent any resistance within the police force, a sophisticated surveillance network would likely monitor officers' communications and activities to ensure loyalty. Those found questioning or opposing policies could face punishment, termination, or even arrest.

Moreover, such surveillance would extend to the general public, creating a climate of fear and distrust. Police officers, once respected as protectors of civil society, would become pawns in a vast surveillance apparatus used to control and silence Americans.

5. The Erosion of Police Independence and Autonomy

In a regime structured around centralized communist or Islamist control, police forces lose any autonomy they might have once enjoyed. Instead of prioritizing community safety, they become enforcers of ideological conformity. Under such conditions, American police officers would no longer serve local communities but instead adhere to federal mandates. Their oaths to uphold the Constitution would be supplanted by an obligation to protect the regime’s interests.

For instance, the Constitution’s protection of freedom of speech and religion would be circumvented, with police empowered to act against any form of dissent as “hate speech” or “radicalization.” This framework is a staple in Islamic states and totalitarian communist regimes, where any deviation from the official line is punished. American police would thus be tasked with policing opinions and behaviors deemed unacceptable by the state.

Conclusion

In sum, a Harris-led regime based on communist and Islamist principles would compromise law enforcement’s mission in the United States. Officers would become tools of ideological enforcement, focused on silencing dissent and policing “incorrect” beliefs rather than protecting and serving the community. The consequences would be disastrous: rising crime, demoralized officers, and an American public stripped of fundamental freedoms.

Those who have experienced the repression of police forces under Islamic or communist rule understand the gravity of such an outcome. Americans must remain vigilant to protect our law enforcement institutions from ideological subversion, ensuring they continue to uphold justice and constitutional freedoms.
