Democrat Socialist Biden-Harris Hell: Life in the Taliban’s Afghanistan

By Bobby Darvish, Iranian-American Ex-Muslim, Former Vegan, Former Democrat, Former Socialist, Former CAIR-Columbus Executive Director, Former Muslim Forum of Utah President, Former Pagan, Christian Conservative LDS Priest

As someone who has walked many ideological paths, I feel a deep personal obligation to speak out against the abominable conditions that have unfolded in Afghanistan since the United States’ abrupt withdrawal under the Biden-Harris administration. Having been raised with an understanding of Iran’s storied history, which includes both the Safavid Dynasty’s grandeur and the tragic consequences of poorly managed power vacuums, I see haunting parallels in the Taliban’s resurgence.

After President Biden announced his withdrawal strategy, what followed was an avoidable catastrophe. Women, children, and religious minorities, who had tasted glimpses of freedom under American protection, were abandoned. The promises of security and dignity were replaced by violence, repression, and the medieval brutality of Taliban rule.[1]

The Biden-Harris administration claims to champion human rights, yet their actions have done more to embolden tyrants than to protect the oppressed. The Democratic Socialists who control much of the party’s ideological direction may frame their policies as compassionate, but the result in Afghanistan proves otherwise. The abrupt withdrawal displayed a dangerous naivety—or worse, an indifference—toward the geopolitical and moral obligations of a superpower.[2]

Growing up, I learned that power must be tempered by wisdom and courage. My ancestors saw the Safavid Empire rise and fall, largely due to complacency and internal discord. Today, I see America’s leadership making similar mistakes. The Biden administration, guided by a socialist ethos that prioritizes optics over substance, has delivered Afghanistan into the hands of barbarians, betraying not just Afghan citizens, but also the sacrifices made by American and allied soldiers.[3]

As an ex-Muslim, I am no stranger to the consequences of Islamist rule. I have seen firsthand how Islamic totalitarianism erases cultural identity, stifles innovation, and enslaves women under the guise of piety. The Taliban’s Afghanistan is the embodiment of these horrors. And yet, the Biden-Harris administration appears content to wash their hands of the matter, leaving countless Afghans to face persecution or death.[4]

It’s time we question the Democratic Socialists’ version of justice. They tout inclusivity and equality, yet their policies have unleashed chaos. In the case of Afghanistan, their actions have aligned them more closely with oppressors than with liberators. This hypocrisy cannot go unnoticed. The Biden-Harris administration’s catastrophic withdrawal has not only tarnished America’s global standing but also revealed the moral bankruptcy at the heart of socialist-driven foreign policy.[5]

If America is to reclaim its moral authority and restore hope to the Afghan people, it must abandon the socialist delusions that led to this disaster. Instead, it must reaffirm its commitment to defending the oppressed and standing firm against tyranny, no matter how politically inconvenient. Anything less would be a betrayal of the principles that once made America the beacon of freedom and justice in the world.
