As a Republican and Trump supporter, I have witnessed firsthand the immense sum of money squandered in foreign aid, particularly with the Biden-Harris administration’s support for Ukraine. Hundreds of billions of dollars have been allocated overseas, while the needs of American citizens continue to be overlooked. As someone who comes from a royal Iranian-American lineage and has lived a life rich in diverse experiences, I recognize that it is time for us to change our priorities. We need to refocus on addressing the issues that directly impact our nation’s citizens—such as student loan forgiveness and healthcare—rather than funneling resources to foreign countries or illegal immigrants.
One of the most pressing issues for many Americans today is the staggering burden of student loans. The Biden administration has consistently placed foreign interests ahead of the well-being of U.S. citizens, and it's time we put an end to that. I have come to the conclusion that paying off all student loans and providing government healthcare should be top priorities. Why? Because these are issues that directly benefit American citizens and have long-lasting positive effects on the economy.
While President Biden and his administration focus on Ukraine, where over $100 billion has already been sent in aid, millions of Americans are drowning in debt and struggling to access healthcare. It’s outrageous that this country can send billions abroad while our own people face financial hardships. The question arises: Why should we not invest in our citizens first? If we were to redirect just a fraction of the funds sent to Ukraine, we could easily provide relief to millions of student loan borrowers and ensure that healthcare is accessible to everyone. This is a matter of prioritizing our own people over foreign nations and illegal immigrants.
The situation with student loans is dire, and recent actions from Democratic lawmakers underscore the scale of the problem. Senator Elizabeth Warren, alongside more than 20 colleagues, requested that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) investigate Navient, one of the largest student loan servicing companies. Their concern? Navient might be improperly denying defrauded borrowers the relief they’re entitled to. Navient has responded, claiming they are committed to providing relief, but the process is still in its early stages. Many borrowers remain in limbo, without the forgiveness they deserve.
While Navient struggles with its discharge process, millions of borrowers remain uncertain about their financial future. Instead of allowing the situation to fester, the federal government should step in and provide blanket student loan forgiveness. The financial freedom that comes with such action would immediately stimulate the economy and provide relief to families across the nation. We cannot ignore the negative impact this debt has on American citizens, particularly those just starting their careers.
In addition to student loan relief, we must also invest in a universal government healthcare system. For far too long, healthcare in the U.S. has been out of reach for many people, often leaving them in financial ruin when they require medical care. The government has proven that it is capable of spending large sums of money—let's use it to help our citizens. Healthcare is a fundamental right, and it should not be tied to one's financial ability. The American people deserve better.
As a Christian conservative with a deep sense of patriotism and a long history of supporting policies that favor the well-being of our nation’s citizens, I stand firm in my belief that student loan forgiveness and government healthcare are not just desirable—they are necessary. We can no longer afford to put foreign interests and the needs of illegal aliens ahead of the American people.
In conclusion, I believe that as a Republican and Trump supporter, I am uniquely positioned to argue that the funds wasted abroad should be redirected to the needs of the American people. By paying off student loans and providing healthcare, we invest in our future, secure our economy, and create a stronger, more unified nation. It’s time to stop supporting foreign wars and illegal immigration at the expense of our own citizens. Our focus should be on building up America, one citizen at a time.
