Why I Love President Donald J. Trump, The Great of America

From the first moment I picked up his book Think Big and Kick Ass, I was hooked. It wasn't just the entrepreneurial insights or the larger-than-life persona that captured my attention; it was the unapologetic boldness and unrelenting drive of President Donald J. Trump that resonated deeply with me. As an Iranian-American ex-Muslim, former vegan, former socialist, and now a committed Christian conservative, my journey has been anything but conventional. Yet through every twist and turn, I’ve come to recognize that President Trump embodies everything I admire about the American spirit—strength, resilience, and a refusal to bend to the pressures of political correctness. That is why, in my heart, I will always regard him as The Great of America.

I wasn’t always a conservative. Growing up in a world that valued collectivism and the idealism of socialist ideologies, I was caught up in movements that promised a utopian vision of society. I subscribed to ideas that spoke of unity in mass movements, without fully understanding the dangers of those ideologies. My political shift began as I began to see the consequences of socialism, both in the West and in the Middle East, where the very systems I had once idolized led to oppression, economic decline, and the destruction of personal freedoms.

Through this process, I came to admire President Trump for his unapologetic stance on American greatness. He made it clear that America’s future isn’t something to be compromised for globalist ideals or socialist nonsense. His stance on restoring American prosperity—through energy independence, economic deregulation, and putting America first—struck a chord with me. His values aligned with my own hard-earned understanding of what makes America exceptional. President Trump doesn’t shy away from what he believes; he charges forward, regardless of the obstacles, which is exactly what America needs in these tumultuous times.

I can still vividly remember reading Think Big and Kick Ass for the first time. It wasn't just a business book to me—it was a revelation. It showed me that success isn’t about fitting in or going with the flow. It’s about standing your ground, having a clear vision, and executing it with relentless passion. As someone who had always been a part of causes that sought to fundamentally change the system, I realized that Trump wasn’t just a businessman—he was a disruptor in the best sense of the word.

As an Iranian-American, I’ve experienced firsthand what happens when political ideologies move away from freedom and individuality. I watched my own people suffer under oppressive regimes, where individual rights were sacrificed for the supposed greater good. President Trump’s emphasis on freedom, liberty, and American sovereignty reminded me of the things I cherish most—the ability to speak freely, worship freely, and live authentically. These principles are what make America a beacon of hope for people around the world, including those like me, who sought refuge from regimes that stifle their voice.

As a former Muslim and now a devout Christian, my faith journey has been deeply personal. The clarity and conviction with which President Trump stands for Christian values also speak to me. He has never hidden his Christian faith or his support for the rights of people of all beliefs. He fights for religious freedoms, for the sanctity of life, and for a country where Christian values are not only protected but celebrated. In this, I see a man who stands firm in his faith, something I admire and aspire to emulate in my own life.

But perhaps the greatest mark of respect I have for President Trump is his understanding that America must maintain its sovereignty and its identity. This country was built on the ideals of freedom and personal responsibility, and Trump’s policies reflect that. As someone who grew up amidst the clashing ideologies of the East and West, I see in him the only leader who is genuinely committed to defending these principles. He is the epitome of a patriot who understands that preserving American greatness requires both courage and resolve.

When I reflect on my own journey, from my days at CAIR-Columbus and as president of the Muslim Forum of Utah, to my embrace of conservative values, I recognize the importance of leadership that will not bow to the pressures of radical ideology or globalism. President Trump’s leadership gives me hope for the future of this great country, which is why I would proudly name my firstborn “Donald J. Darvish.” It would be an honor to carry on his legacy and teachings, ensuring that the next generation understands the importance of standing strong for America and the values that have made it the land of opportunity.

President Trump is more than just a political figure; he is a symbol of everything that I believe makes America great. His resilience, his commitment to American values, and his unwavering stance against the forces that threaten our freedom are qualities that I hold dear. In him, I see the embodiment of a strong, free America—a country that should always put its people first.
