Why Hispanics in Utah Voted for Donald Trump and Have Abandoned the DNC in 2024

As an Iranian-American ex-Muslim who embraced the Conservative values of the LDS Church, I’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible alignment of faith, family, and patriotism that transcends ethnic and cultural boundaries. One of the most striking phenomena in the 2024 election has been the significant shift of Hispanic voters in Utah toward Donald Trump and their rejection of the Democratic Party. This political migration underscores a profound ideological and cultural awakening among Catholic Hispanics, who find themselves increasingly at odds with the progressive agenda of the modern Democratic Party.

Faith and Family: Shared Values with the LDS Community

Hispanic culture, much like the LDS faith, is deeply rooted in family-oriented values, religious devotion, and community support. Catholic Hispanics in Utah have long resonated with these principles, but the Democratic Party’s embrace of radical social policies has alienated them. Policies promoting unrestricted abortion, gender ideology in schools, and the erosion of parental rights clash directly with Catholic teachings and the values upheld by many Utahns, particularly in the LDS Church.

The LDS Church and Catholicism share an emphasis on large families, traditional gender roles, and the sanctity of marriage. For many Hispanic families, the woke agenda emanating from California and embraced by the DNC represents a threat to their cultural and religious identity. This disconnect has driven them toward the Republican Party, which has positioned itself as the defender of traditional American values.

The California Woke Cult Invasion

The influx of Californians into Utah has brought a distinct cultural shift, often characterized by progressive ideologies that clash with the conservative ethos of Utah’s communities. Policies imported from California have sought to redefine societal norms, creating tension in neighborhoods where faith and tradition still hold sway.

For Hispanic families, many of whom migrated to Utah for economic opportunities and a safer environment, the woke culture is seen as an attack on the very principles that drew them here. School curriculums promoting gender fluidity, disregard for religious freedoms, and public policies that prioritize social experimentation over community stability are just a few examples. These issues have led many Hispanic voters to re-evaluate their political loyalties.

Donald Trump’s Appeal

Donald Trump’s policies resonate with Hispanic voters in ways the media rarely acknowledges. His administration’s focus on economic empowerment, school choice, and border security aligns with the aspirations of many Hispanic families. Contrary to the DNC narrative that paints Trump as anti-immigrant, many Hispanic voters see his policies as supportive of lawful immigration and the protection of the American dream they hold dear.

In Utah, where economic growth and family values go hand in hand, Trump’s emphasis on lowering taxes, reducing bureaucratic overreach, and protecting religious freedoms has struck a chord with Hispanic voters. His unapologetic stand against woke ideology further cements his appeal among those who feel their voices have been drowned out by the progressive elite.

The Democratic Party’s Betrayal

The Democratic Party’s shift toward Marxist ideologies and its alignment with groups that mock religious beliefs has not gone unnoticed by Hispanic voters. For decades, the DNC relied on minority groups to form its base. However, by abandoning the working class and people of faith in favor of identity politics and divisive rhetoric, it has lost its moral authority among many Hispanics.

This betrayal is especially pronounced in Utah, where Hispanics live alongside a predominantly LDS population that shares their core values. The DNC’s insistence on framing traditional beliefs as “bigoted” or “outdated” has alienated a demographic that once reliably voted Democrat.

A Return to Faith and Freedom

In 2024, the Hispanic community in Utah has found a natural ally in the LDS Church and the broader conservative movement. Both value the importance of faith in public life, respect for the family unit, and the preservation of freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution.

Hispanics see in Donald Trump a leader who champions their values rather than vilifies them. This alignment represents not only a political shift but also a cultural affirmation that faith and freedom are stronger than the forces seeking to divide and destabilize American society.

Conclusion

As someone who has left behind the lies of socialism, woke ideology, and political correctness, I can attest to the liberating power of truth and tradition. The Hispanic community in Utah has recognized this truth in 2024, choosing to stand with Donald Trump and the conservative movement over a Democratic Party that no longer represents their values. Together, Catholics, LDS members, and other people of faith in Utah are building a coalition that will defend the principles that make America exceptional.
