Restoring Honor and Trust in America’s Intelligence Community: Why President Trump Must Overhaul the CIA, FBI, and NSA
By Bobby Darvish, Iranian-American Ex-Muslim, Former Vegan, Former Democrat, Former Socialist, Former CAIR-Columbus Executive Director, Former Muslim Forum of Utah President, Christian Conservative LDS
Growing up in a family where my father served as a SAVAK officer trained by the CIA, I developed a deep respect for American intelligence and national security agencies. They were symbols of freedom, defenders against tyranny, and guardians of democracy—values I held dear as an Iranian-American refugee. These agencies, which once operated with integrity and commitment, have sadly become shadows of their former selves, infiltrated and manipulated by globalist forces aligned with a “red-green” axis—a coalition between Marxists (red) and Islamists (green) seeking to undermine American sovereignty and destabilize the moral core of the West.
As a former Democrat, socialist, and even a leader within American Islamic circles, I understand all too well how corrosive ideologies can silently permeate institutions. In recent years, I have witnessed the CIA, FBI, NSA, and other security agencies succumb to these forces, aligning with agendas contrary to the interests of the American people and serving the purposes of a global elite with disdain for patriotic, liberty-loving Americans. President Trump, with his unprecedented vision, is uniquely positioned to address this issue by overhauling these agencies to purge deep-state elements and restore honor to American intelligence.
A Tradition of Intelligence Marred by Corruption and Betrayal
My father’s experience with the CIA taught me that intelligence agencies could be noble, dedicated to countering the spread of authoritarian regimes and protecting individuals’ rights to freedom and security. However, today's intelligence institutions bear little resemblance to those committed agencies. The internal culture has been increasingly influenced by globalist ideologies that prioritize international interests over American national security. This transformation has hollowed out the heart of these agencies, turning them into tools for political manipulation, where loyalty to America has taken a backseat to ideological conformity.
The red-green axis in particular, which I witnessed firsthand during my years of activism, is a potent alliance that feeds on the openness of Western democracies while subtly undermining them from within. Islamists, often supported by leftist groups, strategically infiltrate institutions under the guise of diversity and inclusivity, but their loyalty lies with global Islamist objectives. The Democrats, blinded by political correctness and ideological zeal, have willingly enabled this partnership, overlooking the danger it poses to American values. A well-executed overhaul by Trump could dismantle this alliance within these agencies, restoring their original mission of serving the American people, not globalist overlords.
Why President Trump Must Lead This Overhaul
The necessity for agency reform is clear to anyone who recognizes the critical role these agencies play in preserving our national security. But the betrayal we have seen from within—from politically motivated surveillance of American citizens to selective targeting of political opponents—demands bold, immediate action. Trump, with his outsider status and his willingness to take on entrenched interests, has proven he can take decisive steps where others have failed.
Overhauling the intelligence community will involve dismissing individuals who have shown contempt for American values, prioritizing a loyalty to left-wing or Islamist agendas over a commitment to the Constitution. Reorganizing these agencies will also require placing accountability mechanisms to prevent abuses of power, implementing oversight that ensures no faction—political, ideological, or otherwise—can co-opt these agencies for their purposes. This will require rooting out entrenched agents who have enabled the erosion of agency trust and replacing them with individuals who respect the mission of serving America first.
Restoring American Patriotism to the Intelligence Community
One of Trump’s most important legacies may well be his revival of American patriotism within these institutions. Just as my father served Iran with a sense of duty and loyalty, American intelligence agents should serve this country with undivided allegiance. The intelligence community’s role is not to impose globalist policies or enforce politically correct narratives; it is to defend the United States from threats foreign and domestic. Reinstating a culture of patriotism within these agencies means refocusing on American values—freedom, integrity, and dedication to the Constitution.
This cultural shift also means dismantling initiatives rooted in the radical, divisive ideologies of the red-green axis. From sensitivity programs that enable Islamist influence to bias training that labels traditional values as “extremist,” these ideologies have no place in agencies tasked with safeguarding the homeland. By restoring American-centric values, Trump can ensure the CIA, FBI, NSA, and others function as they were intended—as vigilant protectors of our way of life.
Conclusion: A Call for True Reform
My journey from a Muslim socialist Democrat to a Christian conservative has shown me how ideologies can warp institutions from within. I loved these agencies as a child, believing they stood as bastions of freedom and justice. But I now see how deeply they have been infiltrated by those who harbor contempt for America’s core values. With his determination to fight for the American people, Trump has the opportunity to reshape the intelligence community for the better. A thorough overhaul—one that expels traitorous elements and reinstates loyalty to America—is not only possible but necessary.
By purging the intelligence community of deep-state actors and restoring a culture of integrity and patriotism, President Trump can ensure that these agencies will once again be entities we can respect and trust, not instruments of division or ideological oppression. Only then can we return to a time when America’s intelligence agencies stand proud, defending our freedoms with honor and unwavering dedication.
