What Will Democrat Socialists, Marxists, and Islamists Do in America Once the Islamic Republic Collapses?

By Bobby Darvish, Iranian-American Ex-Muslim, Former Vegan, Former Democrat, Former Socialist, Former CAIR-Columbus Executive Director, Former Muslim Forum of Utah President, Christian Conservative LDS

As an Iranian-American ex-Muslim and former socialist, I have witnessed the intricate and often sinister nexus between Democrat socialists, Marxists, and Islamists in the United States. This unholy alliance has long relied on funding and ideological support from authoritarian regimes like the Islamic Republic of Iran. But what will these groups do when the inevitable collapse of the Islamic Republic finally occurs? The answer reveals both the fragility of their coalition and the urgent need for vigilance among freedom-loving Americans.

The Alliance Between Islamists and Marxists in America

The alliance between Islamists and Marxists in the U.S. is not accidental. These groups share a common hatred for Western Christian values, capitalism, and individual liberty. For decades, they have infiltrated American institutions, from universities to media outlets, with the financial backing of foreign actors like the Islamic Republic of Iran. Organizations such as the National Iranian American Council (NIAC) serve as proxies for Tehran, pushing narratives that align with the goals of Democrat socialists and Islamists alike: to undermine the Judeo-Christian values that form the bedrock of American society.

This coalition has also weaponized terms like "Islamophobia" to stifle free speech and silence dissent. As I observed during my tenure at CAIR-Columbus and the Muslim Forum of Utah, these groups use accusations of bigotry not to protect Muslims but to advance their broader agenda of eroding American constitutional freedoms.

The Collapse of the Islamic Republic: A Turning Point

The Islamic Republic’s eventual downfall will have seismic implications for these groups in America. Tehran’s oil money has long funded pro-Islamist propaganda, Muslim Student Associations, and even lobbying efforts in Washington, D.C. When this financial lifeline is severed, Islamists in America will find it increasingly difficult to sustain their influence. This will expose the underlying weakness of their movement, which thrives not on grassroots support but on foreign funding and intimidation tactics.

Democrat socialists and Marxists, meanwhile, will face their own existential crisis. Their partnership with Islamists has always been transactional, rooted in shared enemies rather than shared values. Without the Islamic Republic’s backing, the fissures in this coalition will deepen, leaving Marxists to either double down on their anti-Christian agenda or retreat into irrelevance.

American Schools: The Frontline of Indoctrination

Perhaps the most immediate impact will be felt in American schools. The Islamic Republic has been a quiet but potent force in promoting anti-American, anti-Christian, and anti-Israel curricula in universities and even K-12 education. Programs like "ethnic studies" often blend Marxist ideology with Islamist victimhood narratives, painting Western civilization as inherently oppressive. Once Iran’s funding dries up, these programs will face a reckoning.

However, this does not mean the fight is over. Democrat socialists and Marxists will likely pivot to new sources of funding, such as China or wealthy Gulf states like Qatar. They will rebrand their ideology to continue their campaign against American values, but the loss of the Islamic Republic will weaken their foothold in academia and politics.

The Way Forward: Standing for Freedom

As an ex-Muslim and Christian conservative, I believe the collapse of the Islamic Republic is an opportunity for Americans to reclaim their institutions. But this will require active engagement from patriots who understand the stakes. We must expose the ties between Marxists, Islamists, and foreign regimes, and we must demand accountability from schools, media outlets, and politicians that have benefited from this alliance.

The coming years will be pivotal. Will America seize the moment to reaffirm its commitment to freedom, faith, and family? Or will we allow new forms of tyranny to fill the void left by the Islamic Republic’s demise? As someone who has walked away from the lies of socialism, Islamism, and Marxism, I know which side I stand on.

Conclusion

The collapse of the Islamic Republic will mark the end of an era for Democrat socialists, Marxists, and Islamists in America. Stripped of their funding and exposed for their hypocrisy, they will be forced to regroup or fade away. It is up to us—Christians, conservatives, and freedom-loving Americans—to ensure that their influence never again reaches the levels it has today.
