Germany: Thermal spa in area with large Muslim population bans bikinis that are too tight

This article is quite correct in noting that “intolerance is only a bad thing if it is exercised by Germans in relation to questionable Islamic customs. If the intolerant ones, as in Duisburg, are non-German and in the majority, it is completely different.”

The principle is always and everywhere the same: in Muslim countries, one must conform one’s behavior to Islamic sensibilities. And in non-Muslim countries, one must conform one’s behavior to Islamic sensibilities.

“Niederrhein Therme in Duisburg prohibits bikini swimwear that is too tight,” translated from “Niederrhein-Therme in Duisburg verbietet zu knappe Bikinis,” by Anabel Schunke, Achgut, October 14, 2020 (thanks to Medforth):

In Duisburg, for example, the operator of a thermal bath has decided that in the future it will no longer be allowed to wear tight bikinis because families would feel disturbed. More precisely, it says:

“We are a location where many cultures meet. Freedom of movement is not always tolerated by all groups of visitors.”

Note: intolerance is only a bad thing if it is exercised by Germans in relation to questionable Islamic customs. If the intolerant ones, as in Duisburg, are non-German and in the majority, it is completely different. It is better to give in to intolerance quickly in the name of tolerance before someone else gets upset.
