CAIR to judge: Conceal Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood ties

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has requested a judge to not allow an author and investigator to bring up the fact that it has ties to the Islamic terrorist groups Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.
However, the favor of concealing such information pertaining to CAIR’s parent groups is not likely to be granted.
“According to a response filed in federal court in Washington this week, that evidence is relevant to the defense of former Air Force special agent David Gaubatz and his son, Chris Gaubatz, whose undercover investigation collected internal CAIR documents and recorded conversations that were published in … Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That’s Conspiring to Islamize America,” WND reported.
Really about civil rights?
CAIR – which has been exposed as a terrorist front organization under the guise of a so-called “civil rights” group championing tolerance and fighting “Islamophobia” – has been caught red-handed trying to destroy evidence pointing to its origins deeply rooted in globally recognized Islamic terrorist groups.
“Serving as a CAIR intern, Chris Gaubatz gathered some 12,000 pages of documents that were headed for a shredder at CAIR’s national office in Washington – just three blocks from the U.S. Capitol building,” WND’s Art Moore informed. “The information published in Muslim Mafia, co-authored by David Gaubatz and investigative journalist Paul Sperry, documented CAIR’s founding by members of the Muslim Brotherhood – the group that spawned al-Qaida and Hamas and stated in writing its intent to undermine Western civilization and ultimately bring America under Islamic law.”
In order to avoid the reputation of having connections to Islamic terrorism, CAIR has resorted to much legal repositioning over the past decade.
“CAIR filed suit in 2009, claiming – among other things – breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, trespass and violation of the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, but in the lawsuit, CAIR does not allege libel or defamation, and has never defended itself against the book’s claims,” Moore recounted. “A trial has yet to be scheduled in the case – which has been delayed for a decade by numerous CAIR legal maneuvers.”
CAIR’s legal team has some major issues to contend with in court as it tries to win the lawsuit.
“In the response to CAIR’s attempt to squelch any discussion of its radical ties in court, the Gaubatzes’ legal team argues the defense is partly based on whether or not CAIR is a criminal entity – upon which no intern would form a ‘fiduciary relationship’ of trust,” Moore pointed out. “CAIR contends Chris Gaubatz’s collection of documents and recording of conversations amounted to a breach of his duty to the organization, but in the brief, attorney Daniel Horowitz argues CAIR’s claim is based on the assumption that it actually is the ‘human rights organization’ it purports to be.”
But Horowitz is confident that CAIR’s days of pulling the wool over Americans’ eyes regarding their support of jihad are coming to a quick end.
“The defense, Horowitz says, will demonstrate to the jury that CAIR’s ‘public face’ as an heir to the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. is ‘a veneer and a subterfuge,’ noting the refusal of CAIR leaders to renounce violence,” Moore noted.
In fact, Horowitz believes that the documents in question will finally convince Americans that CAIR is not the anti-discrimination group that it professes to be.
“The evidence of ‘CAIR’s’ connection to a hidden, Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood agenda is directly relevant to ‘the promises made’ by CAIR to Chris Gaubatz as an intern,” the attorney wrote, according to WND. “It contrasts the representations made by CAIR self-defining as a genuine, dedicated civil rights organization with the reality that its core function was to be a hidden Hamas-based operation.”
CAIR’s hidden agenda coming out at the seams …
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has called out CAIR for having ties to Islamic terrorism, while the Department of Justice (DOJ) declared CAIR to be an unindicted conspirator in an effort to financially support Hamas, while the United Arab Emirates (UAE) officially identified CAIR as an Islamic terrorist group.
But CAIR is pulling out all the legal moves to cover its deep roots embedded in terrorism.
“[A] federal judge in Washington, Colleen Kollar-Kotelly, issued several orders [in March] in favor of the defendants, including allowing them to distinguish in court between various CAIR incorporated entities that have been formed since it was established in 1994,” Moore noted. “Congressional investigators have alleged CAIR is creating shell entities to hide foreign donations in violation of federal law.”
But Horowitz contends CAIR’s demands that the court conceal its operations and background are not well grounded.
“[A] criminal has a very limited expectation of privacy,” he stressed.
It was noted that CAIR endeavors to keep any information from entering the courtroom with the intent to “exploit and attack Islam.”
However, Horowitz contends the religion of Islam is not being slandered.
“Muslim Mafia [never] denigrates a religion,” the attorney assured. “It only attacks extremism under the guise of religion and that is not a ‘catch phrase’ that hides bigotry – it is fundamental to the book.”
In fact, the authors of the book inform readers from the start that it sets out to expose covert terrorist groups – not criticize Islam and its followers.
“This is not a book about Islam or Muslims in general – it is about the threat from Shariah Islam and violent jihad propagated by a criminal class of Muslims known as the Muslim Brotherhood or the ‘Ikhwan mafia,’” the authors state, according to WND. “This secretive organization dominates most established Muslim groups and mosques in America while exploiting, manipulating, and even victimizing law-abiding Muslim Americans. Only a small share of the world’s 1.3 billion Muslims are part of this dangerous group. This book is about them.”
CAIR’s public school anti-Islamophobia campaign
CAIR has also been busy trying to cover up its partnership with public school officials to Islamize students under the guise of a so-called “anti-Islamophobia” campaign in Southern California to stop bullying.
The Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund (FCDF) filed a lawsuit last year accusing the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) of covertly partnering with CAIR.
“[SDUSD entangled itself with CAIR to establish a] subtle, discriminatory scheme that establishes Muslim students as the privileged religious group,” the lawsuit states, according to the Daily Caller News Foundation(DCNF). “Consequently, students of other faiths are left on the outside looking in – vulnerable to religiously motivated bullying – while Muslim students enjoy an exclusive right to the school district’s benevolent protection.”
FCDF President and Chief Counsel Charles LiMandri argued that the anti-Islamophobia program violated the First Amendment of the United States Constitution because CAIR – as a blatantly religious [Islamic] group – was a key player in producing and administering the school curriculum.
“The San Diego Unified School District has gone out on a limb – more than most school districts would be willing to do – to partner with a group that identifies itself as a religious group,” LiMandri told DCNF, noting that the instruction was more about converting students to Islam than protecting them from bullying. “We have pictures of the head of the [CAIR] office in San Diego going into classrooms and giving out their literature, and, of course, their literature is promoting Islam.”
He pointed out that while the SDUSD freely invites Muslims into the classroom to share about their faith, Christian pastors, Catholic priests and Jewish rabbis do not get such invitations.
“It’s important to draw the line about advocacy groups – like CAIR – having free reign in the public school system, using government-funded resources to push their own agenda in a way that is showing unconstitutional government preference towards one major world religion over others,” LiMandri contended.
More accusations stacked up against CAIR
A conservative group advocating public awareness about CAIR has published a number of “proven truths” about CAIR to expose its militant roots in Islamic terrorism.
"Let there be no doubt that the Council on American-Islamic Relations is a terrorist-supporting front organization that is partially funded by terrorists, and that CAIR wishes nothing more than the implementation of Sharia Law in America," Anti-CAIR.net proclaims. "CAIR has proven links to – and was founded by – Islamic Terrorists. CAIR actively supports terrorists and terrorist-supporting groups and nations."
Making similar claims that are argued in lawsuits, the whistleblower group also confirms CAIR’s ties to the Palestinian terrorist group, Hamas.
"CAIR is an organization founded by Hamas supporters which seeks to overthrow constitutional government in the United States and replace it with an Islamist theocracy using our own Constitution as protection," the conservative group asserted. "CAIR was started by Hamas members and is supported by terrorist-supporting individuals, groups and countries."
Mirroring Horowitz’s argument, CAIR’s claim to be a civil rights group was debunked.
"CAIR is not in the United States to promote the civil rights of Muslims – CAIR is here to make radical Islam the dominant religion in the United States and convert our country into an Islamic theocracy," Anti-CAIR.net added. "CAIR receives direct funding from Islamic terrorist-supporting countries."
