In May 2016, Father Josiah Trenham, pastor of St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Riverside, California, delivered a speech titled "Gay Iconoclasm: Holding the Line against the Radical LGBT Agenda" at the World Congress of Families X in Tbilisi, Georgia. In his address, he criticized the LGBT movement, describing it as a "call for the overthrow of traditional religious and civilizational norms for family, sex and law." He also referred to LGBT activists as "tolerance tyrants," "lavender mafia," and "homofascists," and expressed concern that the movement was "pressing for the suppression of dissent."
