The current situation with the republican party is very crucial in the sense that if Ron Paul does not win the GOP primaries, the GOP is over as a respectable party and will probably be replaced by a new party other than the Tea Party down the line. The Tea Party itself is just a reactionary fascist movement that disguises itself as a patriotic one, however they would have a bigger following by Europe's Neo-Nazis.
If the GOP ever takes teh 2012 election without Ron Paul as it's President Elect, then we will be looking forward to this:
